Our Story

Scuba Diving Maps was founded in 2020 by a group of passionate divers who encountered difficulties in finding reliable information about scuba diving destinations and training courses. The idea of creating a scuba diving website was born out of frustration during our own search for the best place to book the Instructor Development Course ("IDC"). Despite searching for weeks, we found it difficult to compare the different suppliers and locations where the IDC was held. In the end, we decided to book the course in Amed, Bali.

In 2020, when planning a trip to the Philippines, we again faced a similar challenge of gathering reliable information about the best dive sites and diving centers. We discovered that many dive sites provided contradictory information, making it challenging to plan a diving trip. This led to the creation of Scuba Diving Maps, with the aim of providing an easy-to-use and reliable scuba diving travel guide.
